MATHER - Janet J. October 22, 2017. Age 70. Daughter of the late Berneice (nee Hulburt) (late Jack) Cassin and the late Malcom (late Evelyn) Mather. Sister of the late Maryanne L. Mather. Survived by many dear friends. Janet was a nearly 45-year employee of the University at Buffalo. Her passion was advising and mentoring students. An active member of Calvary Episcopal Church, she volunteered as a member and chair of several committees including Congregational Care, Outreach, Refugee Resettlement, and Walk off Hunger. She also volunteered for many community organizations. She loved to read and enjoyed her book club. An exceptional decorator, she offered consultations to her friends. Visiting hours Sunday, October 29 4-7 PM at BEACH-TUYN FUNERAL HOME, 5541 Main St., Williamsville. A Memorial Service to be held Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 11AM at Calvary Episcopal Church, 20 Milton St., Williamsville 14221. Friends are invited. Flowers graciously declined.
