Ohsiek- Zenia C. Died suddenly July 16, 2013. Beloved wife of Carl A. Ohsiek Jr.; devoted mother of Catherine Ohsiek- Lesnick (Michael), Leslie Ohsiek-Ward (Jeffrey) and Carol "Arpita" Ohsiek-Klingenmaier (Scot), cherished grandmother of Ben and Matthew Ward; dear sister of Electa (Stanley) Beckner, Carol Lewis and Charles (Mary) Curtis. Zenia Curtis Ohsiek was born May 14, 1934 in Potsdam, NY. She was a graduate of The Crane School of Music in Potsdam in 1955. Mrs. Ohsiek married Carl on December 28, 1957. She taught Music in East Greenbush NY and Tonawanda NY. After her children were born, she taught Oboe in her private studio at home. Several of her students went on to become professional Musicians. Mrs. Ohsiek was a member of several local music groups including The Cheektowaga Symphony (25 years), The Tonawanda Legion Post 264 Band (20 years) and the Amherst Chamber Ensembles until she retired. . No prior visitation. A funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in Calvary Episcopal Church, 20 Milton Street, Williamsville, where a reception will follow. Friends are invited.
