Condolences
Dear Michael, Jane, Paul, Anne and Elizabeth, I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. As you well know, I was good friends with your mother, and thus your dad, for many years. Your mom was my quilt mentor and a very special woman. Your dad was so devoted to her. We spent quite a few times together after her passing, reminiscing about their life together, all of you, and, of course, her quilting expertise. The family books that he created for all of you are so special. I am also so sorry I didn't know that he had died until yesterday. I certainly would have been at his funeral. He was a delightful man - they were an amazing couple. I know you have many good memories to keep. Please accept my deep condolences. I am always here if you need any quilting advice. Linda
To the family, I knew your Father from his being so supportive of your Mother at the Amherst Quilters guild. When he retired, many married quilters were envious hearing that he had told Alice that since she had taken care of the family for so long, that he would now be taking some of the jobs on so she could spend more time quilting! He seemed like a very nice man and they were a nice couple too. I hope your memories help to comfort you all. Sincerely Chris
