Obituary of M. Joanne Conroy

CONROY - M. Joanne (nee Connolly)

M. Joanne Conroy passed to the Lord in the comfort of her home and family on December 15, 2019 after a battle with heart disease.
 

Born in South Buffalo to Edmund J. and Mary G (nee Regan) Connolly, she was predeceased by her siblings Edward, Jack, Thomas, and Sheila.
 

Beloved wife of the late William J. Conroy, she is survived by her children, William (Jeanne), Mary Ellen (Steven Burke), Christopher (Brenda), Michael, Michelle (Robert) Clark, Edward (Rebecca) and 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, a loving extended family and friends.
 

Joanne was educated at PS 67, Mount Mercy Academy, and D’Youville College.  She earned a Master’s degree at State University College at Buffalo and taught in the Buffalo public schools.  

 

Her lifelong love affair with her beloved Bill was filled with laughter and children.  Joanne was devoted to her family.  She loved with an open heart and saw the good in people.

     

Joanne loved and practiced her faith and was a member of The Third Order of the Carmelites.
 

She loved art, gardening, skiing, singing and summers at Crystal Beach.  She was spiritual, kind, warm and comforting.
 

The family will be present on Wednesday, December 18th, from 4-8 PM at Beach-Tuyn Funeral Home, Inc., 5541 Main Street (at Cayuga Rd), Williamsville, NY.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Rose of Lima Church, 500 Parker Ave., Buffalo at 9:30 AM on Thursday, December 19th.   Donations may be made to the Carmelite Monastery, 75 Carmel Rd., Buffalo, NY, 14214
