Condolences
My respect and affection for John and his memory knows no bounds. He was a friend, a mentor and a wonderful supporter. Larry and I both send our deepest sympathy and prayers.
Honorable Judge Lane was my true friend and my judge who I had the honor to work with for several years. Judge lane always showed compassion and respect for everyone and had a great sense of humor who he only shared with few. Judge lane was one of the smartest men I ever met yet he was humble and always willing to learn from the young people around him. I shared so much of my life with him because he always was a good listener and gave me great advice. He encouraged me to finish my masters degree and he gave me a lot of reading material preparing me for a new Job. Judge Lane presided over our wedding 14 years ago and it feels like yesterday. His words were loving yet serious and I will be forever grateful for his friendship. Everywhere he went he would bring back flower seeds for me and those flowers still grow in my home in Puerto Rico like the love that I will always have for him. may you rest in peace my dear friend till we meet again with so much love and respect Elizabeth Fildes

From his Irish family here in Cork, we send our love and deepest sympathy to all his family gathered now in Williamsville to say farewell to him. You are in our thoughts and prayers. It was an honour and joy to be able to say we are part of his extensive family.
Ní bheidh orainn fheiceáil a chuid mhaith arís
