BAUDA - Russell M. August 7, 2012, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Luzer) Bauda; loving father of Barbara, Paula (Jerry Cusimano), Joanne (Kevin Crane) and Charles (Shari) Bauda; loving grandfather of Lauren, Karen Ann, Ashley and Victoria Elizabeth; great-grandfather of Taylor; predeceased by ten brothers and sisters. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will be present to receive friends Thursday from 4-8 PM at BEACHTUYN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 5541 Main St. (at Cayuga Rd.) Williamsville. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in St. Isidore's Parish, St. Mary's Church Site, 23 Church St., Silver Springs, NY. Mr. Bauda was born and raised in Buffalo's West Side, graduated from Buffalo Technical High School and Bryant & Stratton School of Business. During WWII, he worked at Curtis Wright. He married Elizabeth Luzer in 1953 while working two jobs and raising a family. He was active at St. Joseph's University Heights Church as Home School Assn. President, Parish Counsel President, Credit Union founder, Usher and Eucharistic Minister. He was promoted to regional Manager at the General Cigar Company where he worked for 40 years until his retirement at age 67. Living at Elderwood Glenwood since 2006, he was the Resident Counsel President where he enjoyed the religious services, exercise, cards and other activities. Mr. Bauda was devoted to and enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Church at 8 Park St., Perry, NY 14530.
