In loving memory of Eugene Shelley

    April 27, 1963 to March 13, 2018

Died suddenly at the age of 55. Gene grew up in Amherst, NY where he attended Williamsville North High School. He left Buffalo in 1998 to move his business, Ultra Auto & performance and his family to Florida.

His passion in life was cars, cars, cars!! Restoring, rebuilding and collecting them! He owned Ultra Auto & Performance in Pendleton, NY and worked as a certified Auto Mechanic. Gene was very gifted in this field and had taken an interest in cars since he was old enough to be in the garage with his dad to start learning his trade. He was the youngest of 5 siblings and amazed us all with his incredible skills, and how quickly he learned to take a care engine apart, put it back together and have it running!

Gene moved his family and business to Cocoa, FL in 1998 and started another business there after working for various dealerships.

In July 2017, Gene came down with a serious infection and was hospitalized for 4 months with complications affecting his heart. He had surgery and was recovering at home.

Gene love the warm weather and time on the beach when he wasn’t working. He was hardworking and very generous to help those in need, especially involving cars.

Son of the late Louis F. and Jeanette (Barczak) Shelley; brother of Denise Smith, Marilyn (Steve) Kovacik, Deborah (Marty) Huber and the late Roger (late Patti) and Susie “Sunny” Shelley.

The family will be present to receive friends for food and refreshment May 23^rd from 6-7 PM at the Chapel at Crosspoint, 500 Crosspoint Parkway, Getzville, NY 14068, where a memorial service will take place at 7 PM. RSVP to Debbie (716) 359-7077 or Marilyn (716) 572-9917.
