Condolences
Hello Everyone of our rowdy growing up years!!! When we were all small: Remember playing hardball in Welke's field? Or swimming hours were from 2-4 pm on weekdays at your pool. All the moms sitting there watching over us and having their afternoon coffee and talking while we swam. Remember how the younger kids were catchers for our ball games and everyone had their own family bell to ring to tell those kids it was time to go home. We all knew everyone's bell. How about the scary time when we weren't allowed to go swimming because David Bachman was sick and there was concern and fear it might be polio? The great reading book time or playing board games after swim time was over at 4pm and we waited to hear our bells to go home. During the summer, walking up to Harris Hill Elem School in a HUGE group to the Bookmobile ? The younger ones were pulled in wagons behind the older ones. And the in between ones riding their bikes. What a sight that must have been!!. Or running thru the backyards to get to one house to another. And let's not forget the night of the neighborhood campout in all the tents in various backyards with flashlights and playing tag until the parents all yelled at us to settle down and go to sleep? Your mom was always in the middle of things and was just terrific!! How sad over the years to lose touch until it becomes a great "family reunion" at the funerals of the ones we loved so well when growing up and our own growing up got in the way. Please accept my deep & sincere condolences on the passing of your mom. Love you all and our shared memories, Always and Forever, Cissy
Joe, Connie and all the family,
We are very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She had a long and wonderful life with a loving family. The video program really personifies that. It was nice remembering your dad, too. Our sincerest sympathy to all.
