Obituary of Eleanor R. Ferraro

FERRARO - Eleanor Swan
(nee Szwanka)
February 6, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Peter L. Ferraro; loving mother
of Mary (Richard) Dentinger, Peter (Lona) Ferraro, Ann (Badri) Jurdi
and Paul (Alyssa) Ferraro; cherished grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother
of 6; daughter of the late Valentine and Mary Szwanka; sister
of the late Jean Dooley; the family will be present to receive friends Thursday
from 4-8 PM at BEACH-TUYN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5541 Main St.
(at Cayuga Rd.), Williamsville. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian
Burial Friday morning at 9:30 in Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Williamsville.
Please assemble at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to
the Third Order Dominican Nuns of the Perpetual Rosary (335 Doat St.,
Buffalo, 14211). Eleanor was a lifetime member of the Third Order Dominican
Nuns of the Perpetual Rosary. She graduated from both Canisius and
D’Youville Colleges and served in the USO during WWII. The family sincerely
thanks Lynn and Helen for their love and friendship.
