FRAWLEY - Catherine S. (nee Snyder) Of Williamsville, NY, passed away on January 17, 2016 at her home in Canterbury Woods where she had lived for the past 16 years. She was 99 years old. Loving wife of the late John R. Frawley, who passed away in 1985; dear mother of John (Candice) Frawley of Manhattan, NY; loving grandmother of Adam, Garrett and Christopher Frawley; former mother-in-law of Ann Frawley; daughter of the late Ernest and Gertrude Snyder; sister of the late William Snyder. Born on March 16, 1916, Catherine lived most of her life in the Buffalo area, largely in Kenmore. Catherine always treasured her many friendships from Bennett High School, her volunteer time at Kenmore Mercy Hospital and activities at the Kenmore Garden Club. And, as everyone who knows her would say, she thoroughly enjoyed many bridge groups which extended through her life until recently. Since 1999, Canterbury Woods has been her wonderful home filled with friends from many years and countless "new" friends, providing Catherine camaraderie, laughter, and, of course, many bridge games. Combining these friendships and the care and support of the entire professional staff of the Canterbury Woods community with the constant love from her son and family, cousins, nieces and nephews, Catherine enjoyed a full, meaningful life for which she was very thankful. The family will be present to receive friends Sunday from 12 noon-3 PM at BEACH-TUYN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 5541 Main Street (at Cayuga Rd) Williamsville. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service Monday morning at 11 o'clock at Canterbury Woods, 705 Renaissance Dr., Williamsville, NY 14221. Memorials may be made to the Canterbury Woods Benevolent Fund.
