GALZA - Lillian (nee Silvestrini) Of Ardmore, PA, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015, at age 91. She was a graduate of D’Youville College (1945), received her Master’s Degree from Canisius College (1956) and taught high school math at Clarence Central High School the last 27 years of her career (1957-1984) before retiring. She resided in Buffalo most of her life, moved to the Philadelphia area when she retired to live with her daughter. Lillian was the daughter of the late Fanny (nee Rivelli) and Enrico Silvestrini; wife of the late Anthony “Tony” Galza; mother of Tess (Scott) Waldman of Ardmore, PA; grandmother of Jacob and Zachary Waldman; sister of the late Arthur and Albert Silvestrini; also survived by two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive friends Thursday from 7-9 PM and Friday from 10-11 AM at BEACHTUYN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5541 Main Street (at Cayuga Rd.) Williamsville, where interment will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Williamsville.
