Ruth was always happiest in the kitchen baking. Every week she would bring over a tin of fresh homemade cookies. The grandchildren would fondly call her Cookie Grammie! We (the adults) were always fond of her pies. Nobody could bake a crust like she could, her Strawberry Rhubarb was the best in my opinion. Although each one of us had our favorites!
