Payne, M. Elinor Elinor Payne of Fremont, CA passed away at the age of 93 on July 15, 2010. She was born in Williamsville, NY on January 2, 1917 to Joseph and Lillian Eberle. She was one of three children, along with her sister Jean and late brother Albert. She graduated from Sacred Heart Achedemy in Eggertsville, N.Y.in 1934 and later met her husband to be, Robert Payne. They married in 1942 and had two children, Bob and Carol. In her younger years, she worked in a variety of administrative roles and as Bob and Carol got older, she returned to the work force, serving a number of years with the Palo Alto, Ca school district before finally retiring in 1979. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Robert, in 1970. After his passing, she continued to lead a full life, travelling with her friends and playing golf. She is survived by her sister, Jean Rogowski (John), her sister in law, Dottie, her daughter Carol Osborn (Dana Sr.), grandson Dana Jr. (Denise), great granddaughter Victoria as well as her son, Bob (Karen), her step granddaughter Kari Meneses (Val) and their two boys, Kyle and Ryan. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held at 9:30am, August 4 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Williamsville, with internment immediately following at St. Michaels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society are requested.
