8pm. RIEDEL - Linda A. (nee Balash) June 9, 2010; Of Williamsville; former Music Teacher in West Seneca. She was a graduate of West Seneca in 1956 and Fredonia State in 1960. She taught elementary school music in West Seneca for a short time and worked as an Office Manager in her husband's optometric office. Born Linda Balash in Buffalo, she married Dr. William K. An avid volunteer at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital for over 25 years, she served on the Woman's Board in many capacities, one being recording Secretary and Newsletter Chairman. Earlier she belonged to the Amherst Symphony Woman's Group, also an active sports woman, playing tennis for years along with bowling. She loved to attend the theater, concerts, and mostly loved being with her family and traveling. For 16 years she sang with the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus. She is survived by her husband, Dr. William K. Riedel, former Optometrist in Buffalo and Eggertsville; her four wonderful children, Mark Riedel of Philadelphia, Sandra (William) Crume of South Carolina, Kimberly Carroll of Tampa, FL and Dr. William (Heather) Riedel O.D.; best of all "OMA" to seven grandchildren, Jake, Alex, Sydney, Ryan, Mackenzie, Emma and Brianna; sister of Joyce Balash.
