Obituary of Robert Allen Johengen

Robert Allen Johengen went to join the Lord on December 18th. He died peacefully after many years of pain with his wife Sandy Ingersoll Johengen by his side.

Bob was born in Buffalo New York to William and Edna Johengen and had three siblings: Bill, Shirley Bierl and Rose Vaughn. After serving in the Army, he married his wife Nancy while continuing to serve eight years in the reserves, and had two children Tommy (Rose) and Lisa (Mike) Tidwell and two grandchildren. Sadly, Nancy went to join the Lord way to soon.

Bob remarried later on to Shirley, and lost her way too early with breast cancer.

Bob and I met 20 years ago and fell in love, and lived life to the fullest (in between Bob battling stage 4 cancer twice) and us tragically losing his son Tommy. We played and made wonderful memories with each other and our families, that will forever reside in our hearts.

Lisa, and my three children: Mark(Wendy), Michael (Heidi) and Michelle(Miguel), nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, loved Bob and will miss him terribly.

Bob was one of the kindest and gentle spirited men who was loved by so many.

Please remember his wonderful belly laughs when you miss him.

There will be a short tribute to Bob at the national cemetery in Biloxi, MS as well as a memorial and burial in Williamsville, NY in the spring.
