Gay was a special friend of mine when she was a Deacon at Calvary Church. I have countless, good memories of her interactions with me, and my whole family.
One special remembrance I have is this: My husband was the Priest at Calvary, and we lived in the Rectory at 19 Milton Street. We had lost our beloved Black Lab, Cleo, who Gay knew well. She looked across the street as she walked out of the Church, and saw our family gathered, and probably guessed that we were burying Cleo’s ashes. She crossed the street, extended her hands, and joined our family circle, as we paid tribute to our beloved dog. This was all without a word. That was her gift, I think - that quiet, strong presence. I will never forget her!
