Condolences
I am deeply saddened for all of Peter's family and friends. I share in that grief. I had the honor of becoming a close friend and companion of Peter's for the last years of his life. I want you to know that even though you knew little of me, I knew you. He loved you. He spoke often of you and had great memories. He loved the way all the family celebrated Christmas. He loved the way Aunts and family cooked so many different dishes. That was very meaningful to him.
The day before the lord took him home, out of the blue , Peter began to pray a heartfelt prayer for all of his family. I told him it was beautiful. I have to think somehow God was preparing him. I recognize the names of those that are writing here. Peter was loved and cared for, He was content, happy and hopeful. He knew where he would go after death. He was not alone. I will continue to pray for you all.

Words cannot express the sorrow and sadness I feel at the loss of Peter. I loved his laughter, humor and kindness. Please accept my condolences and know that I am thinking of you. In loving memory.

Dear Bill, Dawn, Todd, Matt and Andy,
I am so sorry to hear of Peter's sudden death. I have so many, many memories of him as a child and later, as an adult, giving much needed help to my mom. I am grateful for his laughter and the joy he created. When my sister passed away, I found this poem particularly meaningful and I hope you do too. I hope the other eyes reaching for him are those of Aunt Queen and Uncle Bill.
Gone From My Sight
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side,
spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts
for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck
of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone."
Gone where?
Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast,
hull and spar as she was when she left my side.
And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me -- not in her.
And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone,"
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"
And that is dying...
Love, Gail

It is with great sorrow that you have lost a dad, brother, and grandfather. And also we have lost a fun loving cousin. We will all miss his infectious laugh and will cherish all the memories that we carved out with him.
Again our sincere sympathies for your loss.
