Condolences
Like so many others in the community, when I think of Dick Gallagher, I think kind, dedicated and humble. He had a positive impact on so many of us and we are better human beings for knowing him. Truly a life well lived.
I grieve with great sadness because Dick was my hero, my mentor and friend. I will never forget him. I cannot wrap my brain around the fact that I will never see Dick again in this life. But easing that pain is the knowledge that he is with his beloved Christine and no longer in physical pain. He was an extraordinary man.
With Love, Glenda
I have been involved with the Western New York Certified Football Officials for over 67 years. I do not know anyone who has done more for high school football than Dick Gallagher. Dick was a wonderful person and I loved him! My sympathy goes out to Dick's family and my prayers will be with him and the entire family at this most difficult time.

It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of a true Western New York legend. I had the pleasure over the years of conversing with Dick about student/athletes. To his family and friends I express my deepest sympathy. He will be missed. (Lancaster, Clarence, Canisius and Hamburg)
A legendary hero in Western New York who mastered two fields...counselling of kids struggling with addictions and bringing publicity and recognition to high school athletics. Most important, he truly was one of the nicest gentleman I have ever met who was the epitome of humbleness. He loved The Lord and his family and was a friend of many. RIP Richard
Rest in Peace, Dick, for you had a life well-lived and a heart bigger than all the lives you touched. I'm so thankful for that first meeting in May, 1986 and the fact you asked me to come on the Board of KEDS. We followed your vision and saw it come to life in Renaissance House. Thank you for your friendship over these years. Thank you for all that you did for the kids of WNY.
To Mr. Michael Gallagher and his family,
Please accept my sincerest and most heartfelt sympathies and prayers during this difficult time. The world is a better place and many lives improved because of the good works of your father. May he rest in peace.
