Mr. Fessard was a very fair and compassionate man.

In the early years my departed brother Richard had many ru ins at schoo. Mr. Fassard would speak to my parents. But he seemed to understand he was a spirited young teen.

In my age he was like a friend. Someone you could go to for guidance or opinions as you might have different opinions s from some teachers. He always made it right. He was always fair. I will never forget him

It was a pleasure to know and work with Henry at Grand Island High School. He always managed himself professionally, fair, and with compassion. As a teacher and person he has helped and inspire me in so many ways. He will be missed very much.

My introduction was in 8th grade wood shop at Sidway Middle School. From there our friendship followed into the new Grand Island high school . I trusted and looked up to Mr. Fessard as a mentor. As God knows I needed one. He was always honest with me, and guided his students with respect.

Unfortunately after graduation we never crossed paths again, But Henry was my friend and inspiration in my Life.

My Sincere condolences' to Henry's family and of course all the children he shared his kindness and concern with through out

his Teaching career.

Henry Fessard was a wonderful person. I worked with him when he was the Assistant Principal at Grand Island Middle School. He was generous, kind and loyal. My prayers are with his family.

Mr Fessard was my shop teacher at the old Charlotte Sidway elementary school and we did something that would be unheard of today. I had an old .22 rifle that needed some repairs so he told me to bring it to school the next day. So, there I was, riding the school bus with a rifle. The gun was in a case of course, but nonetheless I was on the bus with a gun. Anyway, he fixed it, made a a new ejector by hand, and later that day we test fired it out the shop's back window towards the woods. I tell that story often, the day a teacher asked me to bring a gun to school. I have very fond memories of Mr. Fessard and his shop classes and still have the pig shaped cutting board I made in class, one of my first projects. He was a great guy!

Dear Lisa and Family-

It was such an honor to know your wonderful father. What a wonderful man and as a retired educator myself I had great respect for his career in education. The first time I saw all of the beautiful furniture in his home he made I was astounded. Mr. Fessard was a kind, talented, loving and wonderful father and person. May his memory be a blessing and bring you,Lisa and your entire family comfort.

I was privileged to work with Henry at Connor Middle School for a number of years. When he decided to retire, I coordinated the retirement party at Grand Island's fire hall. Nearly 100 attended because Henry was a great guy! I remember the retirement gift we gave him: a Golden Labrador Retriever puppy. I checked with several family members before we decided on the gift, and was given an enthusiastic thumbs up. We were concerned that the dog would outlive Henry. Well, that certainly wasn't the case! Those of us who knew him were indeed lucky.
