To Eileen and family our deepest condolences on the passing of our longtime and dear friend Bob. Bob and I are both past presidents of the Buffalo Audubon Society and were both active during the years of the founding of Beaver Meadow Audubon Center in North Java, NY. Much love and affection. Bob Hull was my first Engineering supervisor at Westinghouse Buffalo after I graduated from college in 1974. Forty years later I can absolutely say he was the kindest and most professional supervisor I ever had. Yes, he was even kinder than Craig Nordby who will probably read this and feel hurt! I deeply respect how Bob always tried to do the right thing and the quiet way he encouraged us to do the same. My recollections of Bob are of his happy demeanor, except of course when Lon Stringer assailed him over some real or perceived misadventure. I used to chuckle about Bob's hobby of bird watching (seemed boring to me) but here again I now realize the great satisfaction that comes from a walk in the woods. Thank you, Bob, for all that you taught me. I hope your birds are singing.

We were very sad to see Bob’s passing. I worked with him at Westinghouse in the late 60’s and 70’s. My wife and I had stopped to visit him this last August and had a very enjoyable conversation with him. He was sharp as a tack and had that great sense of humor. We reminisced about the good old times and some of his interesting life history. He showed us his new MAC computer on which he was taking on-line courses, working on genealogy, and cataloging a whole set of photos and slides. Bob was a superb engineer and a real gentleman.
