Peters; mother of Gale (Mary Christine) Peters, Rona (Neil) Giuliano, Michael (Robin) Peters and Lisa (Dave) Epke; grandmother of 10; great-grandmother of one; survived by two sisters and a brother; predeceased by three brothers and a sister; special aunt of Sandra Garcia and her daughter Danielle. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association of WNY, 2805 Wehrle Dr. Williamsville, NY 14221. Mrs. Peters was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, (step) grandmother, sister and friend. She was always eager to help and had a smile, story, and a laugh for everyone she met. During her career, she worked as an information technology consultant at Professional Support Inc, consulting to large Buffalo clients including Marine Midland Bank, M&T Bank and the Carborundum Corporation. Throughout her professional career, Shirley was very involved in her children's activities including the PTA and youth football and baseball programs. She was a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan and considered every player a member of her immediate family, happily excusing every dropped pass, muffed punt and offside infraction- always enthusiastically anticipating next year for what would definitely be a playoff run. In addition to her interest in sports and technology, Shirley was also an avid family historian using her large collection of extended family photographs to create an annual calendar which she took great delight publishing and sharing with her large extended family.
