Wife of the late John Maghamez; mother of Julia Sullivan of Williamsville, NY, Albert (Michele Mandela) Maghamez of Ashburn, VA, Edward (Bonnie Watkins) Maghamez of Shaverton, PA and Simon (Rose Marie Giovaniello) Magamas of Glen Head, NY; grandmother of David Copeland of Exeter, NH, Ryan, Nicholas and Todd Maghamez of Towanda, PA, Derek Sullivan of Williamsville, NY, John, Jessica and Coco Maghamez of Ashburn, VA, Gabriella and Brianna Magamas of Glen Head, NY; great-grandmother of Keller Copeland of Exeter, NH, Shane and Andrew of Towanda, Pa; daughter of the late Shamoun and Naomi Tahhan; sister of Edward Tahhan of Merritt Island, FL, Eleanor Deeb of Atlanta, GA, Violette Russo of Woodstock, VA, Jacqueline Rahhal of Danbury, CT and the late John Tahhan of Damascus, Syria. She came to the United States with her husband, a US World War II veteran, in February 1950 and resided in Utica, NY until 1998. During that year, she relocated to the Buffalo, NY area to be close to her daughter, Julia Sullivan. Georgette spent most of her life raising her four children, volunteering at senior centers, playing bingo and cooking Arabic and Italian food for family, friends and VIPS. Her Arabic and Italian cuisine was well known throughout the city of Utica.
