Strauss; loving mother of John (Nancy), Roger (Rody) Strauss, Carol (John) Thompson, Robert (Sue) and the late Paul (Cheryl) Strauss; special mother to Tim Lwanga; cherished grandmother of Katie (Mark) Iammartino, Robert (Brooke), Philip and Mariette Strauss, Shannon Johnson, Ryan (Erin) Helfrey, David Strauss, Tyler, Dakotah and Sierra Thompson, Nicole (Corey) Knauss, Jon, Stephie, Michael, Christopher Strauss and Carrie (Michael) Fox; also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
