HODGE - Betsy Helen "Betty" (nee Dunsmuir) Age 93, of Shabonna, Illinois, passed away August 24, 2013 and was laid to rest next to her beloved husband Henry "Harry" Lewis Hodge, who preceded her in death at Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton, NY on August 30th. Born June 5, 1920 in Hamilton, Ontario to David and Martha (Smith) Dunsmuir, Betsy was raised in Scotland with her siblings twin Tommy, David and Jim Dunsmuir, all who have preceded her in death. Betsy met her companion, friend and loving husband Harry in Scotland during WWII, returned to Canada and ultimately immigrated to the United States where Betsy was very proud to become a US citizen. With Betsy's passing, a generation has closed. Betsy is survived by son and daughter-in-law Derek and Margaret (Rzemek) Hodge; daughter Marcie (Hodge) Wortman; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Betsy was a woman of strong faith. In remembrance of her friendship and vivacious personality, please consider an extra tithe in her name at your place of worship. Private services were held.
