Condolences
I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Sheedy. He was my doctor as a child, and when I got married and had children, he became my family's doctor as well. He would always chuckle at my 2 sons when I brought them to the office because they reminded him of Patrick and Kenneth when they were small. Dr. Sheedy was such a kind, compassionate man. Once when one of my sons was about 3, he had a very high fever, but no other symptoms. Dr. Sheedy was so concerned, he stopped by our house, on his way home from Beechwood, to check on him.(NO CHARGE!!-just concern ). My oldest son was so inspired by Dr. Sheedy, he is now a pediatric MD at Children's Hospital. I'm sorry we never had the chance to tell him how much he meant to us, and how often he was thought of. He will be sadly missed.
Dear Louise & Family, We are going to miss DOC so very much! He was always walking around Hickory hill saying hello to everyone. Especially when he would come into our garage to ask us if we'd seen Reggie? Joyce jumped, he and I would laugh. I still remember when he gave me my first physical to play soccer at Amherst High School. Doc will be remembered as a good DR., and a fantastic friend!!!
Dear Louise, I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Sheedy. He was a fine gentleman and a very good doctor. We enjoyed his company at our Business and Professional Women's Retirees luncheons and he seemed to enjoy himself also. God bless you and your family at this sorrowful time. Thoughts and prayers are with you. Affectionately, Virgina Doze
Dr. Joe was a stalwart in Western New York golf all of his life. His dedication to the game was a beacon for all golfers. The WNY world of golf has indeed lost a good friend and champion in Dr. Joe Sheedy. Whitey Nichols, USGA Amatuer Public Links Committee
