SHERMAN - Marie (Deckert) April 27, 2013. age 103, of Amherst, NY, devoted wife of the late John J.; beloved mother of John J. Jr. (Paula) of Hoosick Falls, NY and Donald (Susan); cherished grandmother of John J. III (Jessica Merrill), Christopher (Vicenta) and Gregory (Anneliese); also survived by four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; dear sister of the late Julius "Bud", Art, and Viola. The family will receive relatives and friends at 11:30 AM on Saturday, July 20 at St. Aloysius Gonzaga RC Church, 157 Cleveland Dr., Cheektowaga 14215, where a Mass will follow at 12 noon. Marie worked at Bell Telephone through the Depression. She and her husband raised their family on Kendale Rd. in the Cleveland Hill area of Cheektowaga. Marie took aerobic classes until she was 90 and did crossword puzzles until shortly before her death. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Aloysius Gonzaga RC Church or the SPCA Serving Erie County, 205 Ensminger Rd., Tonawanda, NY 14150. Private interment at Mount Calvary.
