Hazel and I worked together in the Pharmacy at Roswell for many years. We shared a profession, a love of the arts and a deep sense of giving back to the community by volunteering. Since I lived in Allentown for over 15 years we went to Studio Arena often. Even after I left Roswell to return to Springville we still enjoyed theater. Music and art also serve as fond memories.
Reading her obit reawaited many memories for me, fond memories. Hazel was proud of her children and I recalled her telling of the surprise of a new car you provided for her, a new car complete with a bow (If memory serves me right.)presented at her doorstep. She was proud of her Menzie name and shared information on tartans and clans. Her memories of your parents time in Europe were treasured by Hazel and she shared some when I was planning a trip to Europe. Yesterday afternoon was filled with memories of time spent working and sharing the arts with a special lady, Hazel.
