Dear Maureen & Family - I am saddened to learn about Bill. When I was the Director at the (then) Amherst Museum, I was so fortunate to have Bill being assigned as the Museum's Liaison to the Town Board. He was a champion of all things that would benefit his community, and certainly was a supporter of the Museum. I can still see him at the Town Board meeting when they were voting to approve the capitol project funding for the much-needed Collections Storage Building: he, along with Supervisor Tom Ahern, were fiercely promoting the project and successfully got the needed votes from the rest of the Town Board. Bill's support is one of the biggest reasons that the Museum today has this wonderful structure to preserve the artifacts of Amherst's history. He will be missed by many. My sympathies to you and your children and grandchildren.

George & Maureen,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My heart goes out to you both. He was a very kind and humble man. He will be dearly missed by many.
