Obituary of Barbara B. Alderdice

ALDERDICE - Barbara (nee Bickel)

July 28, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Merle A. Alderdice; loving mother of Gail Alderdice- (Brendan) Murphy and
the late Glenn R. Alderdice; cherished grandmother of Ian D. and Keira A. Murphy; dear sister of Robert D. Bickel
and the late Jean B. DeCorse; fond aunt of Christopher DeCorse, Ken Bickel, Sue Chapman, Don Bickel,
Douglas and the late Ronald Alderdice. The Faith Chapter #722 of the Order of the Eastern Star will conduct an
Eastern Star Service Friday evening at 6 o’clock at BEACH-TUYN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5541 Main Street (at
Cayuga Rd.) Williamsville, where family will be present to receive friends from 6-8 PM. Friends are invited to attend a
Funeral Service Saturday morning at 11 o’clock in University Presbyterian Church, 3330 Main St., Buffalo, 14214.

After graduating from Bennett High School, Barb went on to work as an executive secretary at the Linde Corporation, before
becoming a homemaker and raising her two children. She was active in the Presbyterian Women’s Association for
many years and was also a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, joining the Amherst Chapter in
1976 and serving as the Matron in 1995.
