A. Daniel Mahony

Condolences
Dear Aunt Marjorie, Ann, Michael, Mary, Brian, Jim and all,
The passing of Uncle Dan brought me great sadness as I thought back on so many wonderful memories. You welcomed our family to your house so many times as we were all growing up year-after-year, and recalling those gatherings provides great comfort at this time. Uncle Dan always greeted us with the biggest smile followed by lots of questions and humorous remarks. And he was always ready to engage in games with all of us kids: lawn darts (my favorite), lawn bowling, pool, and I even recall some poker. Throughout these games he would always make us laugh with humorous jabs and boisterous reactions to my poorly thrown dart or badly placed pool shot (“good defensive shot, Pete”). He certainly made sure we all had fun at those family events! As we got older Uncle Dan always asked sincere questions about school, work, life. He really was a wonderful, very cool Uncle. My thoughts are with all of you as Uncle Dan is laid to rest later today. I wish I could be there with you.
Love,

Jim, Brian and the entire Mahoney Family:
My sincere condolences on the passing of you father.
I want to start by saying, unequivocally, that Daniel Mahony was one of the really good ones!
I can honestly say, without question, I have nothing but fond memories of my Uncle Dan and he will be sorely missed. Whether it was the Wilcox's spending Sunday's at the Mahony's or vice versa. Those occasions were always something to look forward to. Gatherings that were never the same twice. Our family trips to Emery Park, like every other time with Uncle Dan's family, were full of nothing but fun and laughter. These are the memories that I will cherish forever.
Uncle Dan, as well as my Father, taught me an important lesson that I will be forever grateful for - Life is fun and should be enjoyed as much as possible. For this, I am sorry I never thanked my Uncle Dan. He will be sorely missed.
