Condolences
A friend alerted us to the obituary this morning. We are in Florida for a few more weeks. We are saddened and shocked by Jack's death. We certainly would have been at the funeral service. We are sorry we are unable to express our condolences to all of you in person. We enjoyed many years of friendship with Lorna and Jack. Jack will be missed by all. He was so proud of his family. We enjoyed catching up with him on all of your successes. God bless you as you mourn your outstanding father and grandfather.

To John and Amy; and Berlin and Gerber children. My sincerest condolences and prayers for you at this time of sorrow and loss! I had the pleasure of working with your dad and grandfather at the NYS Dept. of Health for several years. I will always remember his wit, his smile, and sense of humor. At DOH we didn't refer to him as "the bug man", just "Jack" or Dr. Berlin, which is a testament that his personality exceeded his title. I followed in his footsteps so to speak by becoming the DOH - Buffalo Office union (PEF) leader. I'm sure his care for you all far exceeded the care he gave for us - which was great! He will be missed. God grant his soul eternal rest, and strength and comfort to each of you!
We have many fond memories of summer evening conversations with our good friend and neighbor Jack. (Appreciation too for his expertise the few times a tick came home with us from the woods!) He will be missed. Condolences to all the family on your loss.
