Condolences
Doug:
Just heard about this today, I am so very sorry for your loss.
Hi, I had the pleasure of working with Gerry back in the 70s at Scott Aviation. He helped me to become an inspector there and we became good friends (when ever I made a mistake I would blame Gerry; ("You trained me!). We also played with Doug on a softball team in the 80s. I wrote his phone number down last week and intended to give him a call, I'm sorry I didn't.
My condolences to all. The picture above really shows him exactly like I'll remember him. God Bless.
Jeff
Dear Connie & Dave,
So very sorry to hear of your lost. I know your Dad loved music as you and Dave and I do.
What a great smile your Dad has in the picture. Hope to see both of you very soon.
Maybe at Sorrentino's.
Take care.
Lynn & Tim
Barb and Tommy and family. So sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. My condolences to the family.
I had worked with your father for many years at Scott Aviation. He always had a positive up beat attitude and will be missed. As they say our relatives never leave us they look out for us from up above
Jerry was the kind of man who made such a positive impression on everyone he met. He loved being around people, discussing sports, music and current events. He had a wonderful hardy laugh and you always knew when he was in the room. In the early 80’s when I first met him, I couldn’t help but notice what a devoted father he was. He worked very hard to ensure that his family was taken care of, and he continued to do this throughout his life. When his kids were young, he was happy to spend time at hockey, dance, marching and other family activities. Years later, you could find him at his grandkids’ soccer and softball games, dance recitals and musical shows. Jerry had a regimented schedule even after he retired, and always made sure his “chores were done” before he took time to relax. Last night, our family/friends met in his honor at his favorite hangout Champions, and I was not at all surprised by the great comments and stories shared by some of the regulars who knew him and loved him. Jerry will be sadly missed by his family, but also by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. I am proud to say he was my father-in-law for the past 30 years and I will surely miss him at our family gatherings and holidays. Rest In Peace “Dad”. We take comfort in knowing you are with Bea, Grandma and Ellen again. Dave
