Obituary of Joy R. Phalen

PHALEN - Joy R. (nee Dodson) August 11, 2017. Originally from Rochester, Joy moved to Buffalo after marrying her husband of 59 years, Richard. She volunteered at Roswell Park Cancer Institute for seven years and was 2nd Vice President of the Amherst Women's Republican Club. Cherished wife of Richard Phalen; loving mother of Timothy (Lynn) Phalen; beloved grandmother of Sean and Nicholas Phalen; also survived by her sisters Diane (Chuck) Albro and Donna (Bob) Steinmetz and her brother Sam (Joy) Dodson. No prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 68 Eagle St. Williamsville.
