Obituary of Clifford O. Bloom, PhD

BLOOM - Clifford O., PhD

December 24, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Judith A. Widler, he is
survived by his sons, Steve and Tim; his brother, Steve; five grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; and his dear friend, Melissa.

Cliff was born in New York City on September 4, 1935. After attending
Brooklyn College, he earned his Ph.D. in mathematics at the Courant Institute,
New York University. He was a retired associate professor in the Department of
Mathematics at the University at Buffalo, SUNY, where he also served as Director
of Graduate Studies for several years.

Cliff maintained strong friendships with his former colleagues in the Math
Department and treasured his many friends throughout the Williamsville/Amherst community.

No prior visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
